Clean Water meets Clean Energy
We set up solar powered water pumps to provide clean spring water to the local communities.
Project Summary:
Approximately 3.5 million people globally die from waterborne related diseases each year. This makes it the leading cause of disease and death around the world.
The solution to many waterborne diseases is simply proactive prevention through the access to and use of clean water.
We are in the process of building 20 water pumps to bring natural water to local residents in Nigerian villages around Okitipupa, Ondo State.
The water pumps are solar powered. This environmentally friendly approach brings a key element of reliability in an area where access to electricity is not consistent.
The water pumps are managed by local residents trained to understand the systems.
